Semi-Finals Game 1: Haukar - Keflavik 66-61

Haukar outgunned Keflavik to jump in front in the semifinal series. Keflavik trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 17-11 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 61-66 at the end of the game. Haukar forced 21 Keflavik turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Haukar made 7 blocks. American swingman Lele Hardy (182-88, college: Clemson) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 17 rebounds for the winners and guard Margret Halfdanardottir (173-94) chipped in 14 points. Haukar's coach Bjarni Magnusson used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side American point guard Diamber Johnson (170-90, college: Mississippi St.) responded with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and international Sara Run Hinriksdottir (165-96) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds.
