Semi-Finals Game 1: Norrkoping - Umea 90-59

Norrkoping held off Umea to draw first blood in the semifinal series. The game was mostly controlled by Norrkoping Dolphins. Umea was better in fourth quarter 23-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Umea 33-20 including 24 on the defensive glass. Norrkoping Dolphins players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The former international forward Elisabeth Egnell (186-87, college: Boston Coll.) stepped up and scored 11 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and American power forward Kali Bennett (195-89, college: Arizona St.) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds. Five Norrkoping Dolphins players scored in double figures. Norrkoping Dolphins' coach Lars Johansson felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side international guard Agnes Nordstrom (180-88) responded with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international Kadidja Andersson (183-80, college: Minnesota) scored 14 points.
