Semi-Finals Game 2: Sallen - Northland 79-58

Sallen toppled Northland at home court to level the series at 1-1. The game was mostly controlled by Sallen. Northland was better in third quarter 20-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sallen well out of reach of Northland shooting 74.5 percent from the field and made 106-of-108 charity shots (98.1 percent) during the game. Sallen forced 26 Northland turnovers. Strangely Northland outrebounded Sallen 116-94 including a 75-60 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 46 long-distance shots on high 83.6 percentage. Sallen players were unselfish on offense dishing 34 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 106 blocks. Northland was plagued by 36 personal fouls down the stretch. American point guard Adrianne Ross (173-84, college: TCU, agency: Merit Management Group) scored 25 points and 4 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import point guard Eureka Brooks (170-86, college: Florida) chipped in 19 points and 5 assists during the contest. Four Sallen players scored in double figures. Sallen's coach Bo Eriksson felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Brittany Smart (175-85, college: Cedarville) responded with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international power forward Anna Barthold (185-80, college: St.Peter's, agency: Josep and Nicolas) scored 9 points and 13 rebounds.
