Regular Season Round 23: Fuenlabrada - Castello 76-69

LEB Silver top team - Fuenlabrada (16-6) added another victory to their record on Saturday. This time they beat seventh ranked Castello (11-10) in Madrid 76-69. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Castello won fourth quarter 18-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Forward Sergio Perez (205-79) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points and 5 rebounds. point guard Jorge Sanz (188-93) contributed with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Fuenlabrada's coach Armando Gomez used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. point guard Joan Faner (176-90) answered with 11 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Alberto Ausina (203-81) added 10 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Castello. Five Castello players scored in double figures. Fuenlabrada have a solid series of three victories in a row. Newly promoted Fuenlabrada maintains first place with 16-6 record. Castello at the other side dropped to the sixth position with ten games lost. They share it with Avila. Fuenlabrada will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Castello will play at home against Askatuak (#13) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
