Catz secured the second win in a row over FoA. The game without a history. Catz Lappeenranta led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Forssan Alku to just 7 points in fourth quarter. Catz Lappeenranta held Forssan Alku to an opponent 22.5 percent shooting from the field compared to 58.1 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Forssan Alku 46-31 including a 44-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Catz Lappeenranta especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. They brought some defensive toughness making 12 blocks. International forward Dionne Pounds (174-84, college: Lamar, agency: Regeneracom Sports) orchestrated the victory by scoring 29 points (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). American swingman Alexandria Anderson (186-86, college: Chattanooga, agency: Regeneracom Sports) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Four Catz Lappeenranta players scored in double figures. American forward Telia McCall (185-90, college: Virginia) replied with 8 points and 5 rebounds and the former international forward Sanna Helenius (180-84, college: Valparaiso) added 9 points and 4 steals in the effort for Forssan Alku.
