Northland held off Sallen to take 2-1 lead in the semifinal series. The hosts were ahead by 8 points but lost the second period ending it with a 3-point deficit before their 16-9 run, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for American guard Brittany Smart (175-85, college: Cedarville) who led her team to a victory scoring 23 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Slovenian center Tina Trebec (190-90, agency: Kotnik Sports Agency) helped adding 18 points and 8 rebounds. Four Northland players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American point guard Adrianne Ross (173-84, college: TCU, agency: Merit Management Group) with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import swingman Christy Bacon (182-80, college: Wyoming) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds.
