Pioneros edged Fuerza Regia at home court to seal their LNBP Finals appearance. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 83-75. It was a good game for American-Puerto Rican point guard Denis Clemente (183-86, college: Kansas St.) who led his team to a victory with 23 points and 4 assists. Panamanian power forward Jose Lloreda (203-80, college: LSU, agency: Paris Global Sports) contributed with 20 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American John DeGroat (201-85, college: Pittsburgh) replied with 15 points and 8 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Billy White (203-89, college: San Diego St.) added 17 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Fuerza Regia. Four Pioneros and five Fuerza Regia players scored in double figures.
