Quarter-Finals Round 2: Snaefell - KR 85-99

Snaefell lost the second straight game against KR. The game was mostly controlled by KR. Snaefell was better in fourth quarter 31-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. KR shot 30 for 41 from the free-throw line, while Snaefell only scored eleven points from the stripe. KR forced 24 Snaefell turnovers and outrebounded them 114-94 including a 71-59 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 34 assists. 48 personal fouls committed by Snaefell helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American forward Demond Watt (200-89, college: Texas A&M-CC) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). The former international guard Pavel Ermolinskij (202-87) chipped in 16 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Five KR players scored in double figures. American point guard Travis Cohn (187-89, college: Jacksonville) produced 24 points and 8 rebounds and the former international forward Sigurdur Thorvaldsson (201-80) added 24 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Snaefell's coach Ingi Thor Steinthorsson let to play ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
