A very interesting game took place in Treviglio. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 10th ranked Reggio Calabr. (12-13) to seventh ranked Treviglio (15-11) 54-51 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Reggio Calabr.. It looked good early as Reggio Calabr. took an 1-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Treviglio had a 18-13 second period charge getting the lead and Reggio Calabr. was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 51-54. Treviglio dominated down low during the game scoring 84 of its points in the paint compared to Reggio Calabr.'s 30 and made 77-of-80 charity shots (96.3 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Reggio Calabr. 109-83 including a 69-53 advantage in defensive rebounds. Treviglio shot the lights out from three nailing 19 long-distance shots on high 54.3 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 31 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 24 blocks. 67 personal fouls committed by Reggio Calabr. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international center Emanuele Rossi (206-82) notched a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and Serbian guard Bojan Krstovic (194-80, agency: Interperformances) supported him with 7 points and 4 assists. Treviglio's coach Adriano Vertemati allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game.
