Thor Thorl held off Grindavik to level the series at 1-1. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Grindavik won third quarter 25-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Thor Thorl forced 22 Grindavik turnovers and outrebounded them 117-102 including 43 on the offensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 37 assists. Grindavik was plagued by 50 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international center Ragnar Nathanaelsson (218-91) had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Serbian-Canadian forward Nemanja Sovic (198-77, college: Pfeiffer) chipped in 14 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. American-Dominican guard Lewis Clinch (191-87, college: Georgia Tech, agency: KMG Sports Management) responded with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Olafur Olafsson (194-90) scored 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Thor Thorl and four Grindavik players scored in double figures. Grindavik's coach Sverrir Sverrisson rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
