Regular Season Round 22: AGOR - KAOD 77-72

There was a surprise result when tenth ranked AGOR (9-13) won against higher ranked KAOD (11-11) in Rethymno 77-72 on Sunday. KAOD trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 26-19 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 72-77 at the end of the game. KAOD was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American Kenny Gabriel (209-89, college: Auburn) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds. The other American import guard Justin Hurtt (194-88, college: Tulsa) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. AGOR's coach used entire bench in such tough game. American point guard J'Covan Brown (185-90, college: Texas) replied with 24 points (made all of his seven free throws) and Bosnian power forward Edin Bavcic (209-84, agency: Beo Basket) added 8 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for KAOD. AGOR moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. KAOD at the other side keeps the sixth position with 11 games lost. AGOR will face higher ranked Nea Kifisia (#5) in Athens in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
