Waregem held off Point Chaud for the opening win in the quarterfinal series. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 76-65. Declercq Stortbeton outrebounded Point Chaud 46-35 including 35 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Shanavia Dowdell (188-87, college: Louisiana Tech, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 9 rebounds.
