Very expected game in Hod Hasharon where 11th ranked Bnei Hasharon (6-18) was crushed by seventh ranked Hapoel Holon (12-12) 80-55. The game without a history. Hapoel Holon led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Bnei Hasharon to just 6 points in first quarter. Hapoel Holon dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Bnei Hasharon's 30. They outrebounded Bnei Hasharon 44-31 including 32 on the defensive glass. Hapoel Holon brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. It was a good game for American forward Laurence Bowers (203, college: Missouri) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 6 blocks. The other American import Brian Asbury (200-86, college: Miami, FL) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Forward Oz Blayzer (199-92) replied with 12 points and 6 rebounds and guard Aviram Zelkovits (193-89) added 13 points in the effort for Bnei Hasharon. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hapoel Holon maintains seventh position with 12-12 record. Bnei Hasharon lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with 18 games lost. Hapoel Holon's next round opponent will be higher ranked Hapoel Eilat (#5) at home and it may be quite challenging game.
