Second Stage Round 10: Lokomotiva - Kara Trutnov 73-67

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Kara Trutnov (17-15) on the court of fourth ranked Lokomotiva Karlovy Vary on Wednesday night. Visitors were defeated by Lokomotiva Karlovy Vary 73-67. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Kara Trutnov. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Lokomotiva Karlovy Vary forced 20 Kara Trutnov turnovers. Strangely Kara Trutnov outrebounded Lokomotiva Karlovy Vary 103-88 including 38 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Sarka Kucerova (181-82) scored 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Bosnian guard Irena Vrancic (167-90) chipped in 15 points and 5 assists during the contest. Four Lokomotiva Karlovy Vary players scored in double figures. Lokomotiva Karlovy Vary's coach David Zdenek used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side forward Andrea Ovsikova (178-89) responded with 22 points and 5 rebounds and the former international swingman Katerina Hindrakova (176-88) scored 18 points. Lokomotiva Karlovy Vary have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place in A2, which they share with Strakonice. Kara Trutnov at the other side still keeps top position with 15 games lost. They share it with Slovanka MB.
