Semi-Finals Game 1: 36ers - Tigers 101-85

The Adelaide 36ers overcame the Tigers in the opening game of the semifinal series. The game without a history. Adelaide 36ers led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American point guard Gary Ervin (183-83, college: Arkansas) stepped up and scored 27 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners and international power forward Daniel Johnson (212-88, college: Pepperdine) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side the former international guard Nate Tomlinson (192-89, college: Colorado) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 6 rebounds and 12 assists and the former international guard Chris Goulding (192-88) scored 20 points and 5 rebounds. Four Adelaide 36ers and five Melbourne Tigers players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
