Second Stage Round 4: Kaposvari - Alba 101-93

Kaposvari has registered their first victory this season after two consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat Alba (1-3) 101-93 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 24-20. But Alba won second period 25-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Kaposvari won last quarter 32-25. They made 24-of-31 free shots (77.4 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Croatian guard Hrvoje Puljko (193-83, agency: Global Sports Plaza) fired 27 points for the winners. The former international Marton Fodor (191-81, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) chipped in 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Ramone Moore (193-89, college: Temple) produced 22 points and his fellow American import guard Braydon Hobbs (196-89, college: Bellarmine) added 10 points, 6 rebounds, 11 assists and 4 steals respectively for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kaposvari (1-2) left bottom position moving up to fifth place in Division. Defending champion Alba dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. Kaposvari will meet league's second-placed Atomeromu in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Alba will play against KTE-Duna Aszfalt (#3) and hope to win that game.
