Regular Season Round 28: Fraport SKY - Walter Tigers 70-71

Date: March 29, 2014
Important game to mention about took place in Frankfurt. Seventeenth ranked Walter Tigers (6-22) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging higher ranked Deutsche Bank Skyliners (11-16) 71-70 on Saturday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. The winners were led by American point guard Jonathan Wallace (187-86, college: Georgetown, agency: Pro One Sports) who scored that evening 22 points and naturalized Serbian center Bogdan Radosavljevic (213-93) supported him with 17 points. Even 17 points and 6 rebounds by American guard Quantez Robertson (188-84, college: Auburn) did not help to save the game for Deutsche Bank Skyliners. Center Johannes Voigtmann (210-92) added 14 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Four Deutsche Bank Skyliners players scored in double figures. Walter Tigers maintains seventeenth position with 6-22 record. Deutsche Bank Skyliners lost third consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with 16 games lost. Walter Tigers will play against higher ranked Artland Dragons (#5) in Quakenbrueck in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Deutsche Bank Skyliners will play at home against TBB Trier (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
