Halcones Rojos celebrated the second straight victory over Pioneros in the LNBP championship series. Pioneros were tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. 26 personal fouls committed by Pioneros helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. International guard Francisco Cruz (190-89, college: Wyoming) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points and 4 assists. American-Puerto Rican forward Renaldo Balkman (201-84, college: S.Carolina) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Panamanian power forward Jose Lloreda (203-80, college: LSU, agency: Paris Global Sports) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and the former international forward Hector Hernandez (206-85, college: Fresno St.) added 12 points and 14 rebounds in the effort for Pioneros. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
