Regular Season Round 29: Balikesir - Bandirma Kir. 67-60

Everything went according to plan when twelfth ranked Balikesir (14-15) beat at home 17th ranked Bandirma Kir. (7-22) 67-60 on Saturday. Bandirma Kir. was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. American point guard Dante Swanson (178-81, college: Tulsa, agency: Hart Sports Mngm) stepped up and scored 21 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners and forward Hadi Dogan (200-86) chipped in 15 points. Talat Alp Altunbey (204-94) responded with 12 points and 8 rebounds and forward Cenk Sekeroglu (203-91) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Balikesir moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Buyukcekmece. Loser Bandirma Kir. keeps the seventeenth position with 22 games lost. Balikesir will face league's second-placed Ankara DSI Era on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bandirma Kir. will play against ITU Istanbul (#11) and hope to win that game.
