Quarter-Finals Round 3: Norrkoping - Solna 102-85

Norrkoping overcame Solna to reach the semifinal stage. The game was mostly controlled by Norrkoping Dolphins. Solna Vikings was better in second period 28-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Norrkoping Dolphins dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Solna Vikings' 28. They outrebounded Solna Vikings 35-23 including 23 on the defensive glass. Norrkoping Dolphins players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American swingman Jermont Horton (198-84, college: Rutgers-Newark) who led the winners and scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. His fellow American import forward William Walker (200-87, college: Bethel, IN) accounted for 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. Walker is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Norrkoping Dolphins' coach Paul Burke allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Taj McCullough (201-86, college: Winthrop) came up with 24 points and 6 rebounds and Turkish guard Erkan Inan (195-89) added 17 points (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) respectively for Solna Vikings in the defeat. Five Norrkoping Dolphins and four Solna Vikings players scored in double figures.
