Semi-Finals Game 2: Tigers - 36ers 98-87
Date: March 30, 2014
The Tigers hed off Adelaide in Melbourne to force the third decisive game in the series. It looked good early as Adelaide 36ers took an 9-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Melbourne Tigers took control winning next two quarters and eventually winning the game that evening by 11 points. The former international guard Chris Goulding (192-88) notched 37 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Lucas Walker (202-84, college: St.Mary's, CA) supported him with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Even a double-double of 15 points and 12 rebounds by international power forward Daniel Johnson (212-88, college: Pepperdine) did not help to save the game for Adelaide 36ers. International power forward Anthony Petrie (203-83) added 17 points and 6 rebounds for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Adelaide 36ers' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
