Semi-Finals Game 2: Hawks - Wildcats 61-80

Perth outgunned Wollongong on the road to seal their NBL Finals appearance. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 80-61. Perth Wildcats dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Wollongong Hawks' 24. They outrebounded Wollongong Hawks 38-26 including a 29-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. The former international forward Shawn Redhage (203-81, college: Arizona St., agency: Warren Sports International) scored 26 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from downtown making all six shots !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and American swingman James Ennis (201-90, college: Long Beach St.) chipped in 20 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Naturalized American forward David Gruber (198-81, college: N.Iowa) responded with 9 points and 10 rebounds and swingman Timothy Coenraad (201-85, college: Nova SE) scored 15 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
