We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when tenth ranked Air Avellino (11-14) beat at home 9th ranked Umana Venezia (11-14) 82-78. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 26-20. But Umana Venezia won second period 16-11. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening.
