Sigma Barcellona managed to secure a 7-point victory 92-85. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Tezenis VE. It looked good early as Tezenis VE took an 12-point lead at the end of first quarter. American Quincy Taylor (196-82, college: UAB) came up with 23 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import point guard Jerry Smith (188-87, college: Louisville) added 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Tezenis VE in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Sigma Barcellona maintains sixth place with 16-11 record. Tezenis VE at the other side keeps the fourth position with ten games lost. They share it with PMS Torino. Sigma Barcellona will play against higher ranked PMS Torino (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Tezenis VE will play against C.de Latte BRE and hopes to get back on the winning track.
