Ragusa shot down La Spezia in the opener. The game was mostly controlled by Ragusa. La Spezia managed to win third quarter 18-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded La Spezia 41-30 including 30 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Ashley Walker (187-87, college: California, agency: Merit Management Group) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds. Naturalized Serbian guard Milica Micovic (182-84, agency: Players Group) contributed with 20 points for the winners. American center Marie Malone (191-89, college: Hofstra, agency: Two Points) answered with 22 points and 7 rebounds and the former international forward Silvia Favento (185-85) added 14 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for La Spezia.
