Inter held off Rieker Komarno in Bratislava for the first win in the series. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 41-30 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. The former international power forward Martin Rancik (206-78, college: Iowa St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and American guard Justin Graham (193-88, college: San Jose St.) chipped in 15 points and 11 rebounds. Inter Bratislava's coach Oleg Meleschenko used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American forward Dallis Joyner (203-90, college: Stony Brook) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 16 rebounds and Serbian guard Krsto Bjelica (192-88) scored 17 points and 6 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
