Thirteenth-ranked Askatuak (5-19) made lots of trouble for seventh ranked Castello (13-10) in San Sebastian on Saturday. The visitors from Castellon managed to secure only two-point victory 72-70. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests trailed by 11 points after three quarters before their 28-15 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Point guard Joan Faner (176-90) fired 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Power forward Alberto Ausina (203-81) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Five Castello players scored in double figures. Forward Aritz Martinez (201-82) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and Lithuanian point guard Robertas Bitinas (182-84) added 20 points respectively for lost side. Castello moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Guadalajara and Avila. Askatuak lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 19 games lost. Castello will face Cambados (#12) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
