There was no surprise in Weissenfels where 17th ranked Walter Tigers (6-22) were outplayed by eighth ranked Mitteldeutscher BC (15-14) 105-74 on Saturday. The game without a history. Mitteldeutscher BC led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 64.1 percent from the field. Mitteldeutscher BC looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Michael Cuffee (195-83, college: Middle Tenn.St.) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import point guard Marcus Hatten (186-80, college: St.John's) who added 20 points and 7 assists during the contest. Five Mitteldeutscher BC players scored in double figures. At the losing side naturalized Serbian center Bogdan Radosavljevic (213-93) responded with 24 points and 8 rebounds and American point guard Jonathan Wallace (187-86, college: Georgetown, agency: Pro One Sports) scored 10 points and 5 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Mitteldeutscher BC maintains eighth position with 15-14 record. Loser Walter Tigers keep the seventeenth place with 22 games lost. Mitteldeutscher BC will have a break next round. Walter Tigers will play at home against Artland Dragons (#5) and hope to win that game.
