Finals Game 5: Pioneros - Halc.Rojos 84-65

Pioneros grabbed the third consecutive victory in the LNBP Finals. They overcame Halcones Rojos at home court to take 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven series. The game was mostly controlled by Pioneros. Halcones Rojos managed to win second period 18-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American-Puerto Rican point guard Denis Clemente (183-86, college: Kansas St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. American forward Robert Hornsby (201-82, college: Troy) contributed with 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American-Puerto Rican forward Renaldo Balkman (201-84, college: S.Carolina) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and American swingman Andre Emmett (196-82, college: Texas Tech) added 11 points and 4 assists in the effort for Halcones Rojos. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
