Quarter-Finals Round 1: AE Ellinikou - PAOK 68-45

AE Ellinikou edged PAOK to advance into the semifinal stage of A1 championship. AE Ellinikou held to a 2-0 lead entering the series and completed the sweep with a home victory. The game without a history. AE Ellinikou led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to PAOK's 28. AE Ellinikou forced 19 PAOK turnovers. American forward Lykendra Johnson (185-89, college: Michigan St.) fired a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. Guard Natasa Gotzi (170-87) chipped in 11 points. Four AE Ellinikou players scored in double figures. AE Ellinikou's coach Eleni Kapogianni felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swingman Stavroula Spanidou (179-84) produced 10 points and 6 assists and Serbian power forward Milena Vukicevic (188-80) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side.
