Semi-Finals Game 2: Fujitsu RW - JX Sunflowers 61-73

JX Sunflowers upset Fujitsu RW on the road and completed the sweep in the series. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. JX Sunflowers dominated down low during the game scoring 88 of its points in the paint compared to Fujitsu RW's 56 and made 25-of-27 charity shots (92.6 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Fujitsu RW 106-64 including a 59-41 advantage in offensive rebounds. JX Sunflowers shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 81.3 percentage. They brought some defensive toughness making 202 blocks. Fujitsu RW was plagued by 35 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international power forward Ramu Tokashiki (191-91) notched a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds (on 13-of-14 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and the former international forward Yuka Mamiya (185-90) supported her with 12 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists. Even 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists by international swingman Chinatsu Yamamoto (175-91) did not help to save the game for Fujitsu RW. International forward Moeko Nagaoka (180-93) added 13 points and 6 rebounds for the hosts. Fujitsu RW's coach Yabuuchi Natsumi tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game.
