Finals Game 1: Asker Aliens - Tromso 84-74

Asket Aliens held off Tromso in the consolation final and celebrated the Bronze medals. The game was mostly controlled by Asker Aliens. Tromso managed to win second period 24-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 22-of-29 free shots (75.9 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Asker Aliens especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. 26 personal fouls committed by Tromso helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Torgrim Sommerfeldt (198-89, college: Manhattan) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Anders Stien (195-90) contributed with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Five Asker Aliens players scored in double figures. American guard Gary Wallace (187-88, college: Robert Morris) answered with 30 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import power forward Mike St.John (203-84, college: La Salle, agency: Global Sports Plaza) added 15 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Tromso. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
