Maccabi Ashdod made a huge step towards winning D1 title after they handed the second straight defeat to Elitzur Ramla in the championship series. Maccabi Ashdod looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. Guard Candice Wiggins (180-87, college: Stanford) scored 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Danielle Adams (185-89, college: Texas A&M) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds during the contest.
