Maccabi Ashdod made a huge step towards winning D1 title after they handed the second straight defeat to Elitzur Ramla in the championship series. Maccabi Ashdod looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. Guard Candice Wiggins (180-87, college: Stanford) scored 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Danielle Adams (185-89, college: Texas A&M) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Maccabi Ashdod players scored in double figures. Guard Allison Hightower (178-88, college: LSU, agency: Josep and Nicolas) responded with 27 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and swingman Tamara James (178-84, college: Miami, FL) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds.
