Finals Game 2: 36ers - Wildcats 89-84

Date: April 11, 2014
The Adelaide 36ers leveled the NBL Finals following a tough home win over the Perth Wildcats. The decisive third game of the championship series is scheduled for Sunday in Perth. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Perth Wildcats won third quarter 22-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Adelaide 36ers looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. 30 personal fouls committed by Perth Wildcats helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American point guard Gary Ervin (183-83, college: Arkansas) scored 23 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) to lead the charge for the winners and international guard Adam Gibson (188-86) chipped in 18 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Adelaide 36ers' coach Joey Wright used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American guard Jermaine Beal (191-87, college: Vanderbilt) responded with 19 points and 6 rebounds and his fellow American import swingman James Ennis (201-90, college: Long Beach St.) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Five Perth Wildcats players scored in double figures.
