Finals Game 1: GKS Tychy - GTK Gliwice 79-82

GTK Gliwice snatched a road victory over GKS Tychy to take 1-0 lead in the series. GKS Tychy trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 28-20 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 79-82 at the end of the game. GTK Gliwice made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Strangely GKS Tychy outrebounded GTK Gliwice 37-24 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Mariusz Piotrkowski (198-84) fired 20 points and 4 assists (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) for the winners. Forward Emil Podkowinski (194-88) chipped in 16 points. Four GTK Gliwice players scored in double figures. Guard Marceli Dziemba (186-92) produced 22 points and 4 assists and power forward Tomasz Bzdyra (200-83) added 12 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. GKS Tychy's coach Tomasz Jagielka rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
