Higher ranked Crnomelj (11-13) fell to eleventh ranked Hrastnik (9-15) in overtime by four points 82-86 on Saturday night. The game took place in Crnomelj. But the guests from Hrastnik were better at the end. The guests trailed by 11 points at the halftime before their 21-7 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 14-10. Hrastnik dominated on the defensive end, holding Crnomelj to just 7 points in third quarter. They also forced 20 Crnomelj turnovers. Strangely Crnomelj outrebounded Hrastnik 44-30 including 33 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by guard Anze Zdolsek (177-92) who scored that evening 20 points and forward Nenad Kalamanda (195-93) supported him with 14 points and 6 rebounds. Even a double-double of 17 points, 16 rebounds and 4 blocks by power forward Anze Cerkovnik (200-86) did not help to save the game for Crnomelj. Guard Crt Ristic (182-89) added 21 points and 4 steals. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hrastnik maintains eleventh position with 9-15 record. Newly promoted Crnomelj keeps the seventh place with 13 games lost. They share the position with Elektro Gorenjska. Hrastnik will meet at home league's second-placed Plama Pur in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Crnomelj will play against Elektro Gorenjska (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
