Everything went according to plan when first ranked Monaco (27-3) won against at home 3rd placed Charleville-Mezieres (21-10) 83-74 on Saturday. Charleville-Mezieres trailed by 15 points after 3 quarters before a 19-13 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 74-83 at the end of the game. Naturalized Central African point guard Michael Mokongo (180-86) fired 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners.
