Everything went according to plan when first ranked Monaco (27-3) won against at home 3rd placed Charleville-Mezieres (21-10) 83-74 on Saturday. Charleville-Mezieres trailed by 15 points after 3 quarters before a 19-13 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 74-83 at the end of the game. Naturalized Central African point guard Michael Mokongo (180-86) fired 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American-Nigerian Derrick Obasohan (199-81, college: Texas Arlington, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 19 points. Guard Moustafa Diallo (187-80) produced 16 points and 7 rebounds and American forward Monyea Pratt (195-85, college: Stillman, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) added 17 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Monaco have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 27-3 record. Loser Charleville-Mezieres keeps the third position with ten games lost. Monaco will face league's second-placed Angers BC on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Charleville-Mezieres will play against Cognac BB and hope to win that game and get promotion back to the ProB just one year after relegation.
