No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Vestel (21-10) beat 17th ranked Bandirma Kir. (7-24) in Manisa 88-80 on Saturday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Vestel outrebounded Bandirma Kir. 37-24 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for Nigerian center Kenny Adeleke (205-83, college: Hartford) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds. Naturalized Serbian power forward Mesut Ademoglu (207-82, college: NW Nazarene) contributed with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Vestel players scored in double figures. point guard Tolga Gecim (202-96) answered with 14 points and 6 assists and forward Cenk Sekeroglu (203-91) added 11 points and 4 assists (made all of his seven free throws) in the effort for Bandirma Kir.Bandirma Kir.'s coach Yalcin Kucukozkan rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Vestel moved-up to third place, which they share with Akhisar Bld and Yesilgiresun. Bandirma Kir. lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventeenth position with 24 games lost. Vestel will face league's second-placed Ankara DSI Era on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bandirma Kir. will play against Buyukcekmece (#11) and hope to win that game.
