The biggest surprise of round 29 took place in Bambergguest Bayern Muenchen (#1) barely escaped a defeat edging second-ranked Brose Baskets by 1 point 76-75 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Brose Baskets. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The guests trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 42-35 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Bayern Muenchen made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American center John Bryant (208-87, college: Santa Clara) who scored 12 points and 5 assists. His fellow American import Bryce Taylor (193-86) chipped in 15 points.
