1/8 Finals Round 3: Palmeiras - S.Jose/Unimed 85-68

Palmeiras held off Sao Jose/Unimed to open win count in the eighth-finals. The game without a history. Palmeiras led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Palmeiras forced 20 Sao Jose/Vinac turnovers. It was a great evening for American forward Tyrone Curnell (203-88, college: Valdosta St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 4 blocks. Guard Arlindo Neto (187-86) helped adding 18 points. The best for the losing side was the former international Dede Stefanelli (196-84) with 18 points and point guard Victor De Souza (182-92) scored 13 points. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
