Semi-Finals Game 4: Rieker KN - Inter Bratislava 119-122 OT

Inter Bratislava survived overtime thriller to complete the sweep of the semifinal series against Rieker Komarno. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Rieker KN won third quarter 28-26. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening, at least not yet. The game turned upside-down in the last quarter, where Rieker KN used huge pressure winning it 21-16 getting a tie at the end of regular time. They lost eventually overtime period 29-32. Inter Bratislava made 31-of-34 free shots (91.2 percent) during the game. Rieker KN was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international power forward Martin Rancik (206-78, college: Iowa St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Derek Williams (185-85, college: SMU, agency: IBS) who added 27 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) during the contest. Inter Bratislava's coach Oleg Meleschenko used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side Hungarian guard Peter Szabo (183-89, agency: TSS Management) responded with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and American forward Kenny Hall (206-90, college: Tennessee, agency: Three Eye Sports) scored 24 points and 8 rebounds. Four Inter Bratislava and five Rieker KN players scored in double figures.
