Vivo/Franca avoided elimination as they edged Uberlandia for 2-2 tie in the series. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 20-15. But Unitri won second period 20-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Vivo/Franca won last quarter 27-20. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Unitri's 22 and made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Paulo Prestes (210-88) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds and American swingman Edward Basden (196-83, college: Charlotte) who added 17 points and 4 steals during the contest. Four Vivo/Franca players scored in double figures. At the losing side American Robert Day (197-82, college: W.Oregon) responded with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international Lucas Cipolini (206-86, college: BYU-Hawaii) scored 17 points.
