Palmeiras held off Sao Jose/Unimed to force the fifth decisive game in the series. Palmeiras led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 19-of-25 charity shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Palmeiras forced 25 Sao Jose/Vinac turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Italian-Argentinian point guard Maximiliano Stanic (178-78, agency: Players Group) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 8 assists. Guard Arlindo Neto (187-86) contributed with 15 points for the winners. The former international Jefferson Andrade (207-83) replied with 9 points and 9 rebounds and American-Dominican point guard Emmanuel Quezada (188-85, college: USF) added 6 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for Sao Jose/Vinac. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
