Regular Season Round 28: Netanya - Bnei Hertzeliyya 88-86 OT

Bnei Hasharon (#11) forced the game against GreenTops Netanya (#10) into an overtime, but lost by two points 86-88. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 20-13. But Bnei Hasharon won second period 25-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening, at least not yet. The game turned upside-down in the last quarter, where Bnei Hasharon used huge pressure winning it 19-16 getting a tie at the end of regular time. They lost eventually overtime period 7-9. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Rashaun Freeman (206-84, college: Massachusetts) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. The other American import guard Dawan Robinson (188-82, college: Rhode Island) contributed with 24 points and 4 assists for the winners. Guard Aviram Zelkovits (193-89) replied with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and American power forward Jakim Donaldson (204-83, college: Edinboro) added 16 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Bnei Hasharon. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. GreenTops Netanya (9-19) moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Maccabi Rishon. Bnei Hasharon at the other side keeps the eleventh position with 21 games lost. They share it with Maccabi.Ashdod. GreenTops Netanya will play against higher ranked Galil Gilboa (#8) in Rosh Pina in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Bnei Hasharon will play at home against Hapoel Eilat and hopes to get back on the winning track.
