Finals Game 1: JX Sunflowers - Denso Iris 59-55

JX Sunflowers overcame Denso Iris at home court to gain the first win in the championship series. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. JX Sunflowers made 29-of-29 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game, while Denso Iris only scored twelve points from the stripe. They outrebounded Denso Iris 105-63 including a 64-36 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for JX Sunflowers especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 64.3 percentage. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when JX Sunflowers made 203 blocks. 34 personal fouls committed by Denso Iris helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international forward Yuka Mamiya (185-90) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and the former international power forward Ramu Tokashiki (191-91) chipped in 16 points and 13 rebounds. At the losing side the former international forward Yuri Ushida (181-89) responded with 20 points and international guard Kumiko Oba (169-88) scored 17 points.
