Semi-Finals Game 1: Grodno-93 - Sozh Gomel 100-71

Grodno-93 overcame Sozh Gomel in the semifinal opener. The game was mostly controlled by Grodno-93. Sozh Gomel managed to win third quarter 23-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Grodno-93 shot 60.6 percent from the field. Grodno-93 outrebounded Sozh Gomel 39-19 including a 24-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Grodno-93 made 8 blocks. Forward Aliaksandr Semianiuk (207-93) stepped up and scored 19 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners and the former international forward Andrei Mastou (202-84) chipped in 11 points and 9 rebounds. Grodno-93's coach Andrei Vasileuka felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side international guard Kiril Sitnik (190-89, agency: Mike Diesel) responded with 17 points and 6 assists and the former international point guard Siarhei Charykau (185-82, college: Yakima Valley CC) scored 22 points.
