Sao Jose/Unimed defeated Palmeiras to seal their quarterfinal appearance. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Palmeiras won fourth quarter 15-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Palmeiras 50-29 including a 35-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was the former international Jefferson Andrade (207-83) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds. The former international center Caio Silveira (211-87, agency: Interperformances) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds. Four Sao Jose/Vinac players scored in double figures. The former international Tiago Lima (201-81) produced 12 points and 8 rebounds and Italian-Argentinian point guard Maximiliano Stanic (178-78, agency: Players Group) added 9 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
