Caceres toppled visiting Guadalajara for the opening win in the quarterfinal series. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 41-28 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Caceres Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by CB Guadalajara's players. Power forward Miguel Montanana (206-80) fired 19 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. point guard Jose Antonio Marco (179-89) chipped in 13 points and 8 assists. Naturalized Argentinian forward Maximiliano Sole (198-88) produced 16 points and forward Raul Lazaro (195-87) added 13 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
