Semi-Finals Game 1: Mahram - Azad 85-67

Mahram rallied past Azad for the first victory in the semifinal series. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 85-67. Mahram outrebounded Azad 53-31 including a 37-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of international Oshin Sahakian (200-86) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds. International center Hamed Haddadi (218-85) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Four Mahram players scored in double figures. Senegalese forward Ibrahima Thomas (210-87, college: Cincinnati) answered with 13 points and 9 rebounds and American point guard Anthony Grundy (189-79, college: N.Carolina St.) added 13 points and 5 assists in the effort for Azad. Azad's coach Mehran Shahintab rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win.
