No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked ratiopharm Ulm (18-13) won against at home 15th ranked BBC Bayreuth (10-22) 92-74. The game was mostly controlled by ratiopharm Ulm. BBC Bayreuth was better in fourth quarter 22-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. ratiopharm Ulm players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Dominican point guard Edgar Sosa (190-88, college: Louisville) who led the winners and scored 19 points. International Philipp Schwethelm (201-89, agency: Pro One Sports) accounted for 16 points for the winning side. American guard D.J. Seeley (193-89, college: CS Fullerton) came up with 13 points and 8 assists and center Phillipp Heyden (206-88) added 16 points respectively for BBC Bayreuth in the defeat. Four BBC Bayreuth players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. ratiopharm Ulm maintains seventh place with 18-13 record. BBC Bayreuth lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with 22 games lost. ratiopharm Ulm will play against Phoenix Hagen (#10) on the road in the next round. BBC Bayreuth will play against Mitteldeutscher BC (#9) in Weissenfels and hopes to get back on the winning track.
